1. NURSING STAFFING RATIOS. Oppose SB 227 (Leyva), which would increase bureaucratic hurdles and costs to healthcare facilities through penalties and excessive staffing requirements. Dignity Health/Hospital  Association of Southern California. Rachelle Wenger/Jaime Garcia

2. DEPUTY OF BUSINESS AND WORKFORCE COORDINATION. Support AB 23 (Burke), which would establish a deputy in the Office of Small Business Advocate (OSBA) at GO-Biz to assist small businesses in the state. San Pedro Chamber/CalCPA. Elise Swanson/Carrie Hidding

3. UC LABOR LAWS. Oppose ACA 14 (Gonzalez), which would eliminate UC's ability to hire contract labor. UCLA/San Pedro Chamber. Jennifer Poulakidas/Elise Swanson

4. COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT INVESTMENT PROGRAM. Support SB 5 (Beall), which would create the administrative framework of bringing back redevelopment agencies to tackle affordable housing and other infrastructure financing opportunities. 5. ENVIRONMENTAL LAW REVERSAL. Oppose unless amended SB 1 (Atkins), which establishes environmental and labor baselines in the event Congress or the President weakens federal standards. Metropolitan Water District/ Construction Industry Coalition on Air Quality. Christine Frey/Mike Lewis

6. HOUSING ACCOUNTABILITY ACT. Support SB 592 (Wiener), which would encourage the development of vitally needed housing units throughout California by expanding the Housing Accountability Act, among other things, and protect the development of ADUs.
