BizFed's COVID-19 Economic Recovery Task force is dedicated to seeing the safe, reopening of the economy during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. This diverse and august group of businesses, large and small, from a variety of industries are focused on making sure every industry and every part of the economy within LA County is getting their voice at the table during this unprecedented time.

Please join us for our BizFed Transportation Committee meeting. We will continue our conversation about COVID-19 impact on the transportation sector and take any appropriate and timely actions members bring to us.
Learning what financial tools are available for cities and local communities to utilize in order to further
support and incentivize economic development. (Value capture/CRA/EIFD/first-loss capital). This working
group is a focused group where we learn from leaders and developers who work directly with these
Program will begin with an opening framing on the solutions for the day, conversation with
experts and leaders and interactive audience participation section to look at immediately implementing
suggested actions and set the framework for the next working group.
Discussion topics include but are not limited to: a) What are the financial tools available; Value Capture,
EIFD’s and other Tax Increment Financing, b) What are the new financial opportunities and out of the box
ideas such as Opportunity Zones c) Pre-frame small working group conversations around other solutions
that they know about and were financed to set up the 3rd working group around examples from other
regions that can be adaptable to Southern California.
BizFed’s Water Committee is composed of a diverse and active group of stakeholders dedicated to addressing the many challenging issues facing water policy in the state and LA region. A complex topic matter with incredible impact on the overall economy in Southern California, BizFed is engaged with state and local agencies, business groups and others on the importance of maintaining a strong water resiliency portfolio that improves our infrastructure, eliminates waste and positively impacts the economy.
